Faced with recent constant insults and criticisms from the community, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin seems to have reached his breaking point. Today, he posted on X with a tone that differs from his usual demeanor, stating:
“I’m the one who decides the new leadership team for the Ethereum Foundation (EF). One of the goals of the current reforms is to establish a ‘formal board’ for the EF, but until that is implemented, everything is decided by me.”
Furthermore, Vitalik indicated that if the community continues to pressure the foundation, it would create an environment that is extremely harmful to top talent.
“Recently, some of Ethereum’s best developers have messaged me, expressing their disgust at the current social media environment, which has been created by people like you. You are making my work more difficult.”
Additionally, Vitalik even stated that this malicious criticism has made him completely reluctant to act according to their demands. He then included several community tweets, labeling these individuals as “purely evil.”
