According to a report by The Block, Ethereum developers have released client software for the Pectra upgrade intended for the Holesky and Sepolia testnets, in preparation for the mainnet upgrade anticipated in April.

Client versions targeting different consensus and execution layers have been released today. Before implementing the mainnet upgrade, developers will first deploy the updates on the testnets to ensure the software operates correctly and does not pose risks to real assets.

The Pectra upgrade will first be tested on the Holesky testnet on February 24, followed by testing on the Sepolia testnet on March 5. These tests are designed to simulate network environments, analyze performance, ensure compatibility, and address potential issues before officially launching on the mainnet.

Ethereum developers have scheduled an All Core Developers meeting on March 6 to finalize the mainnet upgrade date, which is currently expected to be April 8, although the timing may change based on testnet results.
