According to the report from “nft now,” the team behind the well-known NFT project Azuki, Chiru Labs, announced on Wednesday (10th) that they will collaborate with renowned Japanese animation director Gorō Taniguchi to produce an animated anthology series. Gorō Taniguchi has directed several representative anime works such as “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion,” “One Piece Film: Strong World,” and “BLOODY ESCAPE -Jigoku Nigirikomi Geki-.” He believes that this collaboration will bring anime to a new audience. In a statement, he said, “Azuki is also collaborating with Dentsu, a leading advertising and animation production company in Japan, to gather top talents for this animated anthology series.”

According to reports, Azuki will launch three complete stories together with Gorō Taniguchi, each with its own director and a group of character artists. The purpose of doing this is to expand the influence of Azuki IP and connect with anime fans worldwide. This anthology series is part of Azuki’s broader plan to provide a range of short and long-form content to different audiences, and it is scheduled to be released later this year. Arnold Tsang, the art director and co-creator of Azuki, stated, “BROWN X BEANZ Winter Collection.”

In addition to the animation production news, another NFT project of Chiru Labs, BEANZ, recently announced its collaboration with IPX, the parent company of Line Friends, to launch physical merchandise. According to the LINE Friends Collection website, “The BROWN X BEANZ Winter Collection” created in collaboration between IPX and BEANZ includes plush toys, keychains, and thermos cups, among other physical collaboration products. IPX will start accepting pre-orders on the LINE Friends Collection website from 10:00 am Taiwan time on January 12th.
