Taiwan Mobile’s Fully-Owned Subsidiary Announces Launch of TWEX
Taiwan Mobile’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Fusheng Digital Co., Ltd., recently announced that it will officially launch the “Taiwan Virtual Asset Exchange” (TWEX) on May 22, becoming the first cryptocurrency trading platform in Taiwan established and supported by a large enterprise, marking an important milestone for the development of the domestic cryptocurrency industry.
TWEX Launch on Bitcoin Pizza Day
The Taiwan Virtual Asset Exchange has chosen to launch on the widely commemorated “Bitcoin Pizza Day,” inviting the public to embrace the Web3 trend and become participants in this new era. On the same day, a press conference and themed forum will be held, featuring Fusheng Digital’s Chairman Lin Zhi-Chen and General Manager Han Kun, who will not only introduce the Taiwan Virtual Asset Exchange but also share their insights on trends in the cryptocurrency industry.
In-depth Discussions on Key Topics
The forum is co-hosted by Fusheng Digital and the Taiwan FinTech Association, inviting the Association’s Chairperson Fang Yan-Ling, Honorary Chairperson Tsai Yu-Ling, and several industry startup partners to engage in in-depth discussions on three major topics: security protection, fraud prevention, and stablecoin regulation.
Regulatory Compliance Achievements
According to a previous report by Zombit, Fusheng Digital completed its anti-money laundering compliance statement with the Financial Supervisory Commission last year (which has now changed to the VASP registration system), becoming the 26th virtual currency platform operator to pass the statement. The board of directors and supervisors behind it are all from the Taiwan Mobile system, indicating that the group’s plans to enter the cryptocurrency asset market have quietly begun. The launch of TWEX symbolizes the official transition of its strategic layout into a new phase of market practice.
