The renowned blockchain game Axie Infinity’s developer, Sky Mavis, released a trailer for its upcoming game Atia’s Legacy on Thursday, while also opening pre-registration for players to participate in testing and offering NFT-based referral rewards.
Atia’s Legacy is a massively multiplayer online game (MMO) set in the Axie universe, supporting both mobile and PC platforms. The game trailer showcased several improvements distinct from the original game, including 3D combat, mini-games (such as puzzles), fishing, and farming gameplay. Previously, Axie Infinity’s gameplay primarily focused on 2D character turn-based battles.
According to the announcement, Sky Mavis will launch a playable minimum viable product for Atia’s Legacy, which will include team battles, unified progress, player versus environment (PvE) combat, resource and crafting systems, social interaction features, and a multiplayer brawl mode.

Sky Mavis stated that the team has incorporated their seven years of experience in Web3 game development into this new creation, and if everything goes according to plan, they will open game testing in the summer and at the end of this year.
Sky Mavis has already opened pre-registration for players, providing them with the chance to earn rewards. Additionally, the company has launched a referral reward program to attract more players to join. Users who successfully invite friends to play will receive native tokens AXS and NFT rewards from the Axie game universe, with the total prize pool increasing as the number of successfully referred players grows. As of the publication of this article, there are over 76,000 participants.
