The Taipei Blockchain Week 2023 kicked off on December 11th and lasted until December 16th at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei. The event attracted nearly 5,000 guests from around the world and over 200 speakers, who gathered to delve into discussions on topics such as the transformation of the cryptocurrency industry and the thriving Web3 ecosystem.
Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company, once again received the honor of being a sponsor of the Taipei Blockchain Week, providing full support to the event for two consecutive years. Gracy Chen, the Managing Director of Bitget, was invited to participate in a panel discussion on December 15th, titled “Exchanges and the Global Economy: Trends, Risks, and Opportunities,” where she shared her insights alongside several top executives from global exchanges.
During the panel discussion, Gracy emphasized the impact of cryptocurrencies on global economic development. She pointed out that in markets with economic instability and significant fiat currency fluctuations, cryptocurrencies can serve as a tool to counter asset inflation. Centralized exchanges like Bitget can provide users with protection against currency inflation and economic uncertainty. Additionally, through a diverse range of financial products offered by centralized exchanges, such as Bitget, users can enjoy a wider selection of investment options.
Furthermore, Gracy provided recommendations for projects/companies interested in listing their tokens on Bitget. She emphasized the importance of prioritizing security in asset listings and improving security vulnerabilities while expanding influence on social media. Gracy also shared Bitget’s token listing review system, which includes a dedicated contract security assessment team that presents various risks associated with tokens for researchers to evaluate. In terms of on-chain liquidity pool security, Bitget reviews whether LPs are locked, the lock-up period and quantity, and whether burning is implemented. As for projects with negative histories or potential risks, Bitget carefully examines the project itself, the project team, and the presence of compliance and serious ethical risks.
To showcase Bitget’s active participation in the Taiwanese market and celebrate the Christmas season, Bitget organized a Side Event in Taipei on December 15th titled “Bitget Fireside Lounge: Conversation with Gracy, Bitget Managing Director.” Gracy personally engaged with Bitget’s partners, well-known KOLs, and industry experts in Taiwan to exchange views on market dynamics, trends, and Bitget’s future development. Participants were also presented with Christmas gift boxes from the “Happy Angel Bakery” to support charitable causes and give back to society.
