According to The Block, the asset size of the Bitcoin futures ETF “ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF” (BITO) has exceeded $2 billion, reaching a historic high. Simeon Hyman, the Global Investment Strategist at ProShares, told The Block that as of January 8th closing, BITO’s total assets reached $2,010,057,946. He added that the fund grew by 10% within a week from $1.8 billion on January 2nd and by 18% within a month from $1.7 billion.
Hyman stated that Ark Invest reportedly sold over $200 million worth of Coinbase stock through its ETF in December 2023 and purchased $92 million worth of BITO at the end of December.
According to data compiled by The Block, BITO had a daily trading volume of $811.13 million on January 8th.
