The Yuga Labs NFT creation team, Bored Apes, announced on Wednesday (17th) that they will be collaborating with game studio Faraway to release a new version of their survival challenge game, Dookey Dash, called “Dookey Dash Unclogged” in the first quarter of this year.
Unlike the previous version, Dookey Dash Unclogged will be available for free to all players, while those who hold Yuga Labs-related NFT series such as Bored Apes, Mutant Apes, Kodas, Bored Ape Kennel Club, and HV-MTL Forge will be eligible for “token rewards” through the game.
The released screenshots by Yuga Labs feature the logo of their ecosystem token, ApeCoin (APE), hinting that the token will be distributed as a reward. However, according to Decrypt, a Yuga Labs representative declined to disclose further details about this aspect.
The new version of the game will be released on iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows systems, indicating that it will not be a web-based game like before.
An overseas influencer named “The Fortnite Guy” participated in the game testing of the new version of Dookey Dash and Yuga Labs’ game committee. He stated on Tuesday that the game is expected to be launched in mid-February, and specific Yuga NFT holders may receive more NFTs through the game. Additionally, he revealed that another Yuga game is planned for release in April.
