Accusation
Crypto influencer Mac (@MacnBTC) accused the Launchpad project Ape Terminal of deceiving all the IDO projects launched on the platform. They claimed that all the winning wallets on Launchpad belonged to the Ape Terminal team, and that they also charged a 25% fee.
Mac stated that they had previously introduced Ape Terminal to the Bitcoin Layer 2 project SatoshiVM, but found the platform untrustworthy and believed it wouldn’t conduct fair sales. Mac further accused Ape Terminal of making millions of dollars through the sale of winning wallets, even though they refunded all the SAVM tokens to the SatoshiVM team.
Response from Ape Terminal
Ape Terminal responded by dismissing Mac’s claims as rumors and asserting that SatoshiVM was a project founded by Mac themselves, allowing a KOL to profit from their own community. Ape Terminal clarified that they did not earn any fees from the sale of SAVM tokens and instead refunded all fees to Mac. The platform also accused Mac of holding a large amount of unlocked SAVM tokens and “manipulating liquidity and distributing tokens to their friends.” Ape Terminal also attached relevant data regarding Mac’s liquidation of SAVM.
Following the spread of this FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt), SAVM tokens experienced a nearly 40% drop within two hours. As of the time of this article’s publication, the price of SAVM is approximately $7.2.
