Ethereum Layer 2 network, Starknet, announced on Tuesday (30th) that it will collaborate with modular blockchain project Celestia to achieve high throughput Layer 3 network. Starknet believes that using Celestia as a modular data availability layer (DA) on the Starknet network to settle high throughput application chains (Appchains) “is a game-changing combination”. Their goal is to “collaborate to port Celestia Blobstream into the Cairo language for use on Starknet”.
Blobstream, launched by Celestia Labs, is an Ethereum data availability solution that enables Ethereum developers to easily create high throughput Layer 2 by relying on the commitment of Celestia data root in the on-chain light client.
