ZachXBT, an online detective, stated on Wednesday (31st) on the X platform that Ripple appears to have been hacked, resulting in a loss of approximately 213 million XRP (valued at around 112 million USD). The stolen funds have been laundered through exchanges such as MEXC, Gate, Binance, Kraken, OKEx, HTX, and HitBTC. According to TradingView data, after news of the alleged hack spread, XRP experienced a sharp drop of about 3.1%, but the trading price has since rebounded to $0.5 before the deadline.

In response to this incident, Chris Larsen, co-founder and executive director of Ripple, posted on social media, stating that the stolen funds came from his personal XRP account (not the official Ripple account). He quickly discovered the issue and notified the exchanges to freeze the related addresses. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the matter.
