Layer 1 blockchain Solana’s mobile division, Solana Mobile, announced on Thursday, February 15, that it will take the second snapshot of the pre-order leaderboard for its second-generation phone, Chapter 2, at 3:00 am on February 22, 2024, Taiwan time. The first snapshot for Chapter 2 was completed on February 9. Solana Mobile stated that the top 1,500 users in the leaderboard after the first snapshot will receive non-transferable Tanzanite NFTs, while the next 1,500 users in the historical leaderboard will receive non-transferable Diamond NFTs.
In addition, users who pre-order Chapter 2 phones after the first snapshot will receive non-transferable Chapter 2 pre-order tokens in their purchasing wallets after the second snapshot. Users need to confirm their wallets in the order confirmation email.
Solana Mobile also announced six new sponsors for the Chapter 2 leaderboard, including Solana lending protocol Solend, sustainable contract protocol Drift Protocol, and Helium’s mobile network division, Helium Mobile.
According to a previous report by Zombit, to incentivize early users, Solana Mobile introduced a referral system for the sales of its second-generation phones. By connecting their cryptocurrency wallets and X platform accounts, users can join the “Chapter 2” leaderboard. When others pre-order the new phone through their referral links, it will increase the referrer’s ranking in the leaderboard and increase their chances of receiving rewards and gifts from the Solana ecosystem team.
