The success of the meme coin BOME has once again popularized the “pre-sale issuance model” in the Solana ecosystem. However, recently, another meme coin called SLERF successfully raised approximately $10 million worth of SOL during its three-day pre-sale period. Unfortunately, during the process of burning LP tokens, the project initiator made a mistake and accidentally burned the SLERF tokens reserved for airdrops along with other worthless tokens.

Furthermore, the minting authority has been revoked, leaving the project initiator unable to issue new tokens to pre-sale participants. In other words, investors who participated in the pre-sale are unable to recover any funds. According to official statistics, two individuals invested over 1,000 SOL each.

Currently, the project initiator is communicating with the community through Space on X, constantly apologizing and fearing being seen as a criminal.

However, this incident unexpectedly drew widespread attention from the community, causing the token price of SLERF to skyrocket from an opening price of $0.02 to $0.7, making it the hottest token in the current Solana ecosystem.
