American comedian Kevin Hart had purchased a boring ape NFT with the ID #9258 for 79.5 ETH (worth approximately $200,000 at the time) through MoonPay in January 2022.

However, since the peak of 128 ETH (approximately $370,000) in May 2022, the floor price of the boring ape has been continuously falling. Currently, the floor price has dropped to 13.48 ETH, equivalent to around $47,000. This seems to have eroded Kevin Hart’s confidence in NFTs.

According to OpenSea transaction records, the boring ape NFT with the ID #9258 was sold two days ago for 13.782 ETH. After deducting taxes, the actual amount received was 13.43745 ETH (approximately $46,500). This means that Kevin Hart’s NFT investment has incurred a loss of over 76% in terms of the US dollar value.

During the peak of the NFT craze in 2022, many well-known American artists and athletes, including Stephen Curry, Shaquille O’Neal, Tom Brady, Justin Bieber, Eminem, and Madonna, announced their acquisition of boring ape NFTs. However, most of them have not yet sold their NFTs. Whether these NFTs were promotional gifts or personal purchases by celebrities remains unknown.
