Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget’s General Manager, Gracy Chen, was chosen as a representative to attend the 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68), an important conference by the United Nations on gender equality and women’s empowerment. The event took place from March 11th to March 22nd, with the theme of “Addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing from a gender perspective, to accelerate gender equality and empower all women and girls.”

Gracy Chen actively participated in discussions on important topics such as artificial intelligence, technology, and empowering youth and women in the age of social media, to achieve a sustainable future. These meetings aim to promote inclusivity in culture, society, and the economy, emphasizing the elimination of racism, raising awareness through innovative technology-driven strategies, exploring cultural diversity, and highlighting the role of international cooperation in community communication.

The 68th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women provided a platform for governments, civil society organizations, experts, and activists from various countries to come together and reach a consensus on actions and investments to eliminate women’s poverty and promote gender equality. The solutions discussed in the conference included policies and plans to invest in addressing gender inequalities, increasing women’s leadership, and reducing gender gaps in employment.

Gracy Chen’s participation in this session reflects Bitget’s vision for a fair future driven by the cryptocurrency revolution. Gracy stated, “The participants are committed to driving positive global change, which inspires me. I look forward to using the knowledge gained from this event to promote diversity and empowerment within the cryptocurrency community.”

Therefore, we commit to investing $10 million in the next few years to launch the Blockchain4Her program globally. This program includes incubation projects, ambassador programs, and blockchain women awards, aiming to cultivate female entrepreneurship and recognize achievements in the blockchain and Web3 fields.” Several female industry leaders have already joined this program.
