Gracy Chen, the General Manager of Bitget, was selected as a representative to attend the 68th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68), an important conference of the United Nations on gender equality and women’s empowerment. The event took place from March 11th to March 22nd, with the theme “Addressing poverty from a gender perspective and strengthening institutions and financing for gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls”.
Gracy Chen actively participated in discussions on important issues such as empowering youth and women with the power of artificial intelligence, technology, and social media in achieving a sustainable future. These meetings aim to promote inclusivity in culture, society, and the economy, emphasizing the elimination of racism, increasing awareness through innovative technology-driven strategies, exploring cultural diversity, and highlighting the role of international cooperation in community communication.
The 68th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women provided a platform for governments, civil society organizations, experts, and activists from various countries to come together and reach consensus on actions and investments to eliminate women’s poverty and promote gender equality. The solutions discussed in the conference included policies and plans to invest in addressing gender inequality, enhancing women’s leadership, and narrowing the gender gap in employment.
Gracy Chen’s participation in this year’s conference also reflects Bitget’s vision for a fair future driven by the cryptocurrency revolution. Gracy stated, “The participants are committed to promoting positive global change, which inspires me. I look forward to applying the knowledge gained from this event to promote diversity and empowerment within the Bitget cryptocurrency community.”
Gracy further emphasized Bitget’s proactive attitude, stating, “We are aware of the underrepresentation and participation of women in the industry. Therefore, we are committed to investing $10 million over the next few years in the Blockchain4Her program, which includes incubation projects, ambassador programs, and Blockchain Women Awards, to cultivate women’s entrepreneurial spirit and recognize their achievements in the blockchain and Web3 fields.” Several female industry leaders have already joined the program.
Bitget’s core value lies in envisioning a more equitable future world through the development of Web3 and cryptocurrencies, empowering different groups regardless of their cultural backgrounds, economic statuses, ages, or genders.
