Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget’s General Manager, Gracy Chen, was selected as a representative to attend the 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68), an important conference by the United Nations on gender equality and women empowerment. The event, held from March 11th to March 22nd, focused on the theme “Addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing from a gender perspective, to accelerate gender equality and empower all women and girls.”

Gracy Chen actively participated in discussions on important topics such as empowering youth and women with power in the age of artificial intelligence, technology, and social media, to achieve a sustainable future. These meetings aimed to promote inclusivity in cultural, social, and economic aspects, emphasizing the elimination of racism, raising awareness through innovative technology-driven strategies, exploring cultural diversity, and highlighting the role of international cooperation in community communication.

The 68th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women provided a platform for governments, civil society organizations, experts, and activists from various countries to come together and reach consensus on actions and investments to eliminate women’s poverty and promote gender equality. The solutions discussed during the conference included policies and plans to invest in addressing gender inequality, promoting women’s leadership, and narrowing the gender gap in employment.

Gracy Chen’s participation in this session reflects Bitget’s vision for a fair future driven by the cryptocurrency revolution. Gracy stated, “The participants are committed to driving positive global change, which has inspired me. I look forward to applying the knowledge gained from this event to promote diversity and empowerment within the Bitget cryptocurrency community.”

Gracy further emphasized Bitget’s proactive attitude, stating, “We are aware of the underrepresentation and participation of women in the industry. Therefore, we commit to investing $10 million over the next few years to organize the Blockchain4Her program globally. This program includes incubation projects, ambassador programs, and the Blockchain Women Awards to cultivate female entrepreneurship and recognize achievements in the blockchain and Web3 fields.” Several female industry leaders have already joined this program.

Bitget’s core value lies in depicting a more equitable future world through the development of Web3 and cryptocurrency.
