According to an official announcement from Binance, the exchange will airdrop BNB tokens worth up to $1 million to the victims of the recent Hualien earthquake in Taiwan (equivalent to approximately NT$32 million).
The official statement states that users in the Hualien area (13 towns and cities in Hualien County) who have completed the Binance Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process and Proof of Address (POA) registration by April 5, 2024, will receive 120 USD worth of BNB directly into their Binance accounts. Additionally, existing users in the Hualien area who have completed account registration before April 5, 2024 (excluding April 5), and completed POA between April 5, 2024 (including April 5) and April 20, 2024 (including April 20), will receive 25 USD worth of BNB. The funds are expected to be airdropped to eligible user accounts starting from April 8, 2024.
