Karel Vuong, co-founder of the blockchain gaming ecosystem Treasure, released details about the updates of their game chain Treasure Chain on Wednesday (10th), including the timeline, partners, games, and staking information. Treasure Chain is built on Arbitrum rollup technology, and users will be able to pay gas fees in the form of $MAGIC tokens.
The goal of Treasure DAO is to launch the Treasure Ruby testnet around April 22nd, which includes Treasure Portal for cross-chain access and exploration of the testnet environment, as well as a new Treasure Chain browser. They also plan to launch the Treasure Ruby mainnet in the third quarter of this year.
In terms of the Treasure ecosystem games, Vuong mentioned that Smolbound, The Beacon, Kururo, Bridgeworld, Zeeverse, Kaiju Cards, Knights of the Ether, Realm, and Mighty Action Heroes will all release new gameplay, content, and tokens. Some games will have specific experiences on the Treasure testnet, as well as whitelist or play-to-airdrops activities.
Vuong also revealed that Treasure Chain will introduce staking functionality. He stated, “In addition to acting as the native gas token within the network, staking will provide new dimensions for the role that MAGIC tokens play in Treasure, such as security and powering Layer 3 and cross-chain bridges.”
Furthermore, Treasure will introduce a new mission system and scoring system, with these scores only obtainable during the testnet period. They will provide future rewards and incentives for early adopters and users of Treasure and its games.
