Besides Ethereum founder Vitalik’s creative temple outfit that amazed the crowd and sparked online discussions, the 40-hour hackathon also brought together over 300 developers from around the world, showcasing their technical talents and innovative ideas. After days of hard work and in-depth discussions, the much-anticipated moment of unveiling the results finally arrived, with several projects receiving high recognition from the judges for their innovativeness.
This hackathon focused on bringing more innovative applications to Ethereum through Layer2, Privacy, and On-chain AI. Developers used their past development experience and cutting-edge technology to create new products and vitality for the entire ecosystem within three days. A total of 70 teams produced 56 projects, competing for over 2.3 million in prizes. After careful evaluation by the judges, several outstanding projects were selected.
Among the nine Community Finalist groups, two groups used the latest technology in the Dencun upgrade to implement their products. This included using Blob Data to make Layer2 applications more cost-effective in terms of transaction fees, as well as using Transient Storage to optimize ERC20 and ERC721 tokens. These projects showcased the Ethereum community developers’ understanding of the latest EIPs and their unique ability to apply them flexibly in technology.
Another notable highlight was that multiple teams from Taiwan were able to create end-to-end products within the short span of three days. These included ZicretPair, an anonymous dating platform on the blockchain; Hiraijin, a QR code transfer system accepting on-chain assets; and Kage, a cross-chain privacy transfer service. These teams participated in the Demo Day and received high recognition, allowing developers from different countries to fully exchange ideas and create sparks of creativity together with Taiwanese developers.
In addition to the above projects, there were many other excellent works that stood out in this hackathon. These innovative projects not only demonstrated the participants’ technical capabilities but also showcased their passion and expectations for the Ethereum ecosystem.
