According to a previous report by Zombit, bankrupt cryptocurrency lending company Celsius has started distributing cryptocurrency debt to its creditors. According to documents submitted to the court at that time, Celsius has distributed $2 billion worth of cryptocurrency via PayPal/Venmo and Coinbase, transferring 20,255.66 BTC and 301,338.77 ETH to 171,672 creditors.

However, at that time, Taiwan was not within the service range supported by Coinbase, which caused many Taiwanese creditors to be unable to smoothly accept Celsius’ bankruptcy claims through the exchange.

But the good news is that Coinbase seems to have recently resumed services for users in Taiwan. Zombit confirmed the authenticity of this news after inquiring with Coinbase. Coinbase responded to Zombit, stating:

“However, it should be noted that previously registered accounts cannot be accessed, and users must re-register and submit proof of residence documents to complete the registration process. In addition, users who want to use Coinbase to accept Celsius claims must use the same email, name, address, and date of birth as with Celsius to ensure seamless distribution of the claims.”
