According to representatives from FTX Digital Markets (FDM) and the official liquidator, PwC, an email was sent to creditors to provide updates on the liquidation process.
The email reiterated that customers of FTX or FTX International have the option to file claims in either the Bahamas or the United States bankruptcy proceedings. Regardless of which option they choose, they can expect to receive roughly the same amount of compensation at a similar time.
Furthermore, the liquidator stated in the email that for customers who have already filed claims in the Bahamas proceedings, FTX Digital Markets’ liquidator will reach out in the future to confirm whether they wish to continue having their claims managed, processed, adjudicated, and resolved in the Bahamas. As for customers who have not yet filed claims in the Bahamas process, they can submit their claims before the deadline, which is currently estimated to be mid-August 2024.
