BingX Charity has donated 1 billion Vietnamese Dong to help with the reconstruction efforts in the aftermath of Typhoon Molave in northern Vietnam. BingX Charity is the charitable organization under BingX, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange. Molave is the strongest typhoon to hit Vietnam in thirty years, causing widespread destruction, hundreds of deaths or disappearances, and thousands of people displaced.
Immediately after the disaster, BingX initiated a donation campaign on September 12, 2024, pledging to donate 400 million Vietnamese Dong to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee. This donation aims to provide much-needed assistance to the people affected by the typhoon, as well as subsequent floods and landslides. BingX’s donation campaign, along with generous contributions from the public, played a crucial role in providing immediate relief to the affected population. The funds will be used for community rebuilding, infrastructure restoration, and providing essential supplies to families who have lost their homes and livelihoods.
To further assist the victims of Typhoon Molave, BingX also launched a matching donation campaign. For every 1,000 Vietnamese Dong donated by the public to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, BingX pledged to donate an equal amount. This campaign ended on September 17, with the total donation amount subsequently raised to 1 billion Vietnamese Dong. Of this amount, 600 million Vietnamese Dong came from BingX’s matching donation program, and 400 million Vietnamese Dong was the initial donation from BingX.
In addition, on September 18, BingX organized a charity event to promote the spirit of unity and sharing. The event took place in Nam Khap Ngoai village, Bao Nhai commune, and Trung Do village in Bac He province. At the event, 230 charitable items were distributed to local residents. This area is difficult to access due to its rugged terrain, making post-disaster reconstruction challenging and rescue operations limited. These charitable gifts were prepared based on recommendations from the local government and include essential items to ensure they meet the actual needs of the community. BingX hopes that this event will not only provide material assistance but also inspire local residents to regain confidence, help them overcome current difficulties, and spread the radiance of love and humanity.
