Layer 1 blockchain Injective announced on Thursday (7th) that its Rollup solution compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), Injective EVM (inEVM), has gone live on the mainnet. Injective stated that the network was developed in collaboration with Rollup provider Caldera and is the first EVM Rollup that “enables true composability across Cosmos and Solana.”
The launch of inEVM aligns with Injective’s strategy of establishing an “Electro Chains” network, with the goal of expanding the Injective Layer 2 ecosystem and enhancing blockchain interoperability. With inEVM, Ethereum developers can deploy their applications on Injective without modifying their code, such as decentralized exchanges.
According to Injective’s statement, Celestia will serve as the Data Availability (DA) layer for inEVM, while Pyth will provide oracle services. Projects already launched on the inEVM mainnet include the TimeSwap lending protocol and the Thetanauts on-chain options protocol.
Injective Labs initiated a $150 million ecosystem fund in early last year, with participating institutions including Pantera, Jump Crypto, Kraken Ventures, Kucoin Ventures, and Delphi Labs.
